spidermouse), our housemate Matto (silvertomcat),and a varying but always large (for a normal person) number of rats. I'm a mechanic by trade, and since being made redundant a number of times in the last few years I made the decision to go self-employed. It's damn hard work but I love every minute of it.
I have a (some might call it unhealthy) passion for all things Volkswagen; I'm Club Secretary and Meet Organiser for my local club, and having owned Golfs, Polos and Scirrocos between us, Jo and I currently own a 1989 Transporter, which we drive about, camp, and rock out in, and a 1988 Passat Estate, which is off the road and being slowly made into something no one's ever seen the like of before. Keywords are 80s, rockabilly, and madness.
When not fixing cars/rebuilding cars/faffing about with cars, I like to: hang out with my awesome girlfriend, eat, go camping, take things apart to see how they work, eat, go down to the old pub (instead), squish rats (in an humane, non-life-threatening way), sacrifice meat on the Altar of Barbecue, drink ale, play Scrabble, go to bootsales, listen to 70s music on vinyl, and be educated in film, tv and popular culture by way of intense screenings/lectures. It's a good life.
I do post about the above stuff, but mostly, I use my journal to talk about the restoration of the van, the Passat, or the Mini that used to belong to Jo until she gave it to Matto. If you find cars extremely boring, this may not be the place for you :p
